Providence Hospitality Partners
Specializing in Historic and Boutique Hotels
Glenwood Springs, CO – For almost 20 years, the Hotel Colorado has been managed and operated by Providence Hospitality Partners in Denver, Colorado. Providence Hospitality Partners specializes in dynamic management solutions for historic, boutique, and themed hotels and resorts.
Providence Hospitality specializes in managing historic hotel properties, not only restoring them to their former splendor, but also returning the properties to the vibrant community gathering places they were in their heydays. Under the guidance of David Storm, Providence Hospitality Partners founding partner and President, Hotel Colorado has been lovingly and faithfully restored to its original 19th century splendor, but updated with the finest appointments the 21st-century visitor expects.
At the Hotel Colorado, Providence Hospitality partners masterminded and oversaw a $2 million renovation of its flagship Baron’s restaurant and the hotel lobby. The lobby restoration returned the hotel to its 1893 grandeur, returning the lounge and dining room to an era when fine dining and socializing were feature attractions.
The main hotel lobby was completely renovated with new carpets, hardwood floors, wall treatments, drapes and furniture. This centralized rotunda was restored to its original grand scale, enhancing the two stately fireplaces, where guests can gather for intimate chats or pre-function cocktail receptions.
In addition to Hotel Colorado, Providence has restored numerous historic hotels, including the Queen Anne in San Francisco, The Sheridan Inn in Sheridan, Wyoming, and the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Sheridan Inn is the third property Providence Hospitality manages in Wyoming, and the second historic hotel.
The company’s services include finance and accounting, food and beverage systems, operational systems, sales and marketing support, human resources, design and purchasing consulting, acquisition support, market evaluations, and project development/redevelopment.
The Providence team brings more than seventy years of hospitality experience ranging from a 42-unit boutique hotel to a 2,200-acre themed resort managing prestigious brand names including Marriott, Omni, Radisson, and Hilton.
David B. Storm is the architect of Providence’s marketing-focused operating style, which he calls “Markagement.” Markagement transcends the typical departmentalized operating philosophy and applies market dynamics and core research activities as the fuel for increased market share, guest service enhancements, and increased profitability.
Storm says, “We believe in smashing the status quo by challenging the collective talents of both corporate and property level personnel, to achieve total excellence in the pursuit and delivery of uncompromised service, profitability and asset enhancement.”
Storm is actively involved in the daily operation of all Providence-managed hotels and is responsible for developing Providence Hospitality Partners’ proprietary management initiatives and communicating with property owners.
