Gentlemen, if you’re looking for a sure-to-impress getaway idea for Valentine’s Day (or ladies, if you want to drop a great hint), the Hotel Colorado is certainly the kind of place Cupid has in mind.
Offering much more than just “dinner out,” the Hotel is a wonderful romantic destination, a short drive from Denver, but far from the ordinary. Making a weekend of the trip makes it even better.
Imagine yourself enjoying cocktails in the Hotel’s recently remodeled lobby, in front of the fire, sharing glances and the mood fostered by the Hotel’s ambience. Photos and stories of yesteryear will make you feel that you’ve stepped into a favorite film, or a time-gone-by when elegance and grace ruled the day, or perhaps you’ll nestle in at the Polo Lounge before moving on to dinner at Baron’s, the Hotel’s premiere restaurant, and a special menu, prepared by Executive Chef Ron Jackson.
Worthy of its many accolades, Baron’s Restaurant at the Hotel Colorado offers the best of everything romantic, from its subtly lit classic architecture to its diverse menu selections. Baron’s truly sets the scene perfectly for a dining experience.
Executive Chef Ron Jackson has put a personal touch on this most romantic of holidays, too, with a special three-course menu for Valentine’s Day.
The specially selected menu showcases an opening appetizer and Chateaubriand as the main course. But Valentine’s Day is always about the “sweets” and sweethearts will conclude their meal with an intoxicating dessert of plated, heart-shaped baked Alaska for two, made with Bailey's Cheesecake Ice Cream, served at the table, flambéed, with rum. Last, couples will receive a bag of Chef-prepared, homemade, Hotel’s own chocolates to take away with them. The champagne toast is the perfect cap to the evening.
Dinner can be a wonderful prelude, too, to a terrific weekend at the Hotel. Accommodations ranging from the Hotel’s signature suites to its elegant rooms are a capital way to spend Valentine’s Day.
The price for the dinner is $129 per couple (plus taxes and gratuities). Overnight accommodations at a special rate are available with dinner reservations for interested parties. The complete romantic weekend package is just $259 (plus etc.)—and that includes the “dinner for lovers,” a room accented with rose petals, and specially selected bath bubbles and body lotion to enjoy at your leisure. Package expires February 18th.
Whatever you choose—and the Hotel offers so many choices—you’re sure to make the evening, or the weekend, yours and only yours.
Romantic? Of course. Timeless? You bet. Memorable? Unforgettable.
Where else would you want to spend Valentine’s Day weekend but at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, the “heart’ of Colorado’s high country?
Space is limited, so the Hotel strongly encourages patrons to make reservations today for this event by calling 1-800-544-3998 extension #150.
About the Hotel Colorado
