River Float History
In 2004, Roaring Fork Conservancy decided that the best way to teach people about our rivers was to get them on the river. And so River Float was born. Each year we have taken over 140 people down the lower Roaring Fork River teaching them about wildlife, water issues and riparian habitat. We hope you can join us on the river!

Music on the Mountain: Louie & The Lizards @ Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
Jun 9 @ 4:00 pm

Save the date for the best mountain-top music venue in town. You do not want to miss this Music on the Mountain featuring local favorites, Louie & The Lizards.

While Louie & The Lizards have been entertaining people in western Colorado and eastern Utah for close to twenty years, they absolutely refuse to let themselves, or their music, get old. Brothers Mikie and Louie Girardot, the original founders of the band, reunited last June – and the consensus is that the formula still works – better than ever! The brothers are joined by local mainstay bass player Tom Mercer and Pacific Northwest transplant Bruce Wills on drums. Armed with their arsenal of fun and sometimes funky psychedelic rock, B-side covers and original tunes, The Lizards invite you to come and party like its 1999!

Listen to great local music, enjoy a cold drink at the Lookout Grille and take in the views!

Bring at least one (or more – it’s a great cause) canned food item for the LIFT-UP community food pantries for a FREE ride up the mountain after 4 p.m. Music starts at 6:00 p.m.

Otherwise, tram tickets are $16 for adults and $11 for kids ages 3-12.
