Hotel Colorado creates new position to bolster its growing groups and events business.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (August 5, 2024) — The historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs has created a new position to provide a more seamless service experience for its meetings, events and banquets clients. Jordan L’Heureux, a Vail Valley native with extensive industry experience, is the new Director of Convention Services. In this role, she will serve as the liaison between the hotel’s group clients and its operations teams, providing a single point of contact for meeting and event planners.

“The Director of Convention Services role is important for us as we grow our groups business. Jordan’s experience in all facets of the events segment makes her an ideal fit for our team,” Larry MacDonald, General Manager of Hotel Colorado, said. “After a client finalizes their contract with our sales team, whether it’s for a business conference, company banquet, reunion or party, Jordan will handle all of the details from that point forward. It really simplifies the process for the person planning the event.”

Most recently, L’Heureux was Sales Manager leading up to and during the opening of the Hoffman Hotel Basalt Aspen, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Prior to that, she spent seven years with Vail Resorts, Inc., serving as Group Sales Coordinator in Breckenridge, Assistant Banquets Manager in Keystone and Conference Services Manager in Crested Butte. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado-Denver and a master’s degree in business administration from Western Colorado University.

“I’m so looking forward being part of the Hotel Colorado team and to collaborating with all of the departments involved in putting on the incredible events that take place here. This property has so much history and is a beloved part of the community,” Jordan L’Heureux, Director of Convention Services for Hotel Colorado, said. “I love the fact that the current owners are committed to respecting its past while restoring it to its former glory. My goal is to find the balance between introducing innovative ideas and honoring traditions.”

Hotel Colorado offers a full range of event and catering services for groups from five to 250 people. Six spacious, well-appointed banquet rooms, all of which were beautifully renovated in 2019, provide a total of 10,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space for larger meetings and breakout sessions. There are additional outdoor spaces in the hotel’s beautifully landscaped courtyard available seasonally.
